Privacy Statement

By means of this privacy statement, MCB provides information about the processing of personal data that takes place within MCB International B.V. and its affiliated entities (hereinafter referred to as: "MCB", "we", "us/our").

MCB processes your personal data because you make use of our services and/or because you have provided this data to us yourself. We consider it important that your personal data is handled with care. We have therefore set out in this privacy statement how we handle your personal data and what rights you have. For what purposes do we use your data?

In order to process personal data, MCB must be able to rely on a legal basis. We base the processing of your personal data on the following legal bases:

• Necessary for the preparation or performance of the agreement. MCB processes data for the provision of services, for example for communication, answering questions, issuing quotations, processing orders in the MCB webshop, the delivery of products and services, and invoicing. MCB may also process data for the purpose of carrying out creditor and debtor checks.
• Performance of a legal obligation. MCB processes data in order to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Legitimate interest. This may include, for example, improving the provision of services, informing about MCB's products and services, marketing and sales, and analysing, maintaining, securing and optimising our website, webshop and associated technologies.
• Consent of the data subject, for example when subscribing to the newsletter or adding (additional) data to "My MCB".

Cookies

MCB uses (technical) functional, analytical and tracking cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. MCB uses these cookies to ensure that the website functions properly and that, for example, your preference settings are remembered. In addition, MCB places cookies that track your browsing behaviour.

For the placement of certain cookies, you must first give your consent before these cookies may be used. If you do not give your consent, those cookies will not be placed. You can withdraw your consent for cookies at any time by changing your internet settings. Google Analytics

MCB uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). MCB uses this to analyse the use of the website and webshop, including to count the number of visitors and to view which pages are visited most frequently.

For logged-in users of "My MCB", MCB also links a customer identifier and a company identifier to the Analytics data. This allows MCB to analyse user behaviour at an individual level. MCB uses this data for the following purposes: improvement of the webshop and services, price optimisation and gaining commercial insights into customer needs. The legal basis for this processing is MCB's legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You have the right to object to this processing via po@mcb.nl.

Google Analytics uses cookies to carry out the analysis. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and have disabled the "data sharing" option for Google's own purposes. Data that is stored includes your IP address, the number of pages visited, the time and duration of the visit, your location, the origin of the visit, the type of hardware and software used, interaction with the webshop, your search history and — for logged-in users — the customer and company identifiers linked to your account. The data obtained is transferred to Google and stored on servers in the United States. This transfer takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and is, where necessary, supplemented and/or covered by the EU standard contractual clauses (SCCs).

How long do we retain your data?

MCB does not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is processed, and also complies with applicable laws and regulations in this regard.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Your personal data may be exchanged and combined between MCB International B.V. and its affiliated entities. MCB does not sell your data to third parties and only provides it to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a data processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. MCB remains responsible for these processing activities.

We have certain services and activities carried out by carefully selected and appointed service providers located outside the EU (for example IT service providers). In that case, a transfer to a third country takes place. For this purpose, the legal requirements relating to data protection regulations are used as a basis to contractually establish an appropriate level of data protection with the provider. These include, among others, adequacy decisions and EU standard contractual clauses.

Security of personal data

MCB takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact us at po@mcb.nl.

Special and/or sensitive personal data

MCB does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years of age, unless consent has been given by parents or guardians. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data from a minor without the required consent, please contact us at po@mcb.nl and we will delete this information.

MCB only processes special personal data where there is a necessity to do so and will in that context comply with all required conditions.

Links to other websites

The website may contain links to other websites. This privacy statement only applies to the MCB website. Other websites may have their own privacy policies. MCB advises you to always consult the relevant privacy statement of those websites before using other websites.

Automated decision-making

MCB does not make decisions based on automated processing concerning matters that may have (significant) consequences for individuals.

Amendment of the privacy policy

MCB periodically updates its privacy policy to keep it up to date. The most recent version of our privacy statement will always be available on the website. MCB therefore advises you to consult the privacy statement regularly. In the event of significant changes, MCB will make every effort to inform you by email and via the websites.

Viewing, modifying or deleting data

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw any consent you may have given for the processing of your data, or to object to the processing of your personal data by MCB, and you have the right to data portability.

You can also submit a request for access, correction, deletion, or transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or to object to the processing of your personal data, to po@mcb.nl. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, and within four weeks at the latest. MCB also wishes to draw your attention to the fact that you have the option to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) regarding our processing of your personal data. You can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority for this purpose.

Applicants

MCB processes personal data in the context of job applications. MCB does so on the basis of its legitimate interest in conducting the application procedure, in preparation for and performance of an (employment) agreement, or on the basis of consent. Consent is only requested for the retention of your personal data after the conclusion of the application procedure for the purpose of future, relevant vacancies. This consent is valid for a period of one year and may be withdrawn at any time.

Personal data is processed, during or after the application procedure, for the following purposes:

• To process your application. When you apply to us, we receive your personal data. This may include name and address details, CV, cover letter and other information you provide to us. Upon successful completion of the application procedure, MCB will also use your data to arrange your onboarding.
• To bring relevant vacancies to your attention. If you have given consent for the retention of your personal data after the conclusion of the application procedure, we may approach you for other relevant vacancies.
• For historical, statistical and/or scientific purposes. Where necessary, MCB may use your personal data for historical, statistical and/or scientific purposes and analyses. We do this, for example, to map the number of applicants per type of vacancy over the years. This is done anonymously.

Personal data provided in the context of the application procedure will only be shared with third parties where this is necessary for the processing of your application or requested services, or where you have given MCB consent to do so. Third parties include, for example, assessment agencies.

MCB retains personal data for a maximum of four weeks after the conclusion of the application procedure. If you have given consent, MCB will retain your personal data for a longer period, in case a suitable position becomes available at a later stage. This consent is valid for one year, may be extended with your agreement, and may be withdrawn at any time.

My MCB

MCB also processes personal data in its webshop. After registering and logging in to the MCB web portals via "My MCB", stored information can be viewed under "My details". For logged-in users, MCB additionally analyses behaviour within the webshop via Google Analytics. Please refer to the "Google Analytics" section of this privacy statement for more information.

In order to make use of the MCB customer service (chat service), a registration procedure must be completed, during which a number of necessary details are requested, such as first name, last name and email address. These registration details are used to send information in the context of our services. The content of emails and/or chat sessions with our customer service may be used for training, coaching, quality and/or assessment purposes. These processing activities take place on the basis of MCB's legitimate interest in achieving optimal service delivery.

Part of MCB's services to customers includes the mailings that MCB regularly sends. If the customer receives emails from MCB, MCB records the customer's interactions, with the legitimate aim of tailoring the content of our communications to what we believe is relevant to the customer. If you wish to receive newsletters, your email address can be submitted via the websites for this purpose. You can unsubscribe from mailings by clicking the relevant link in the most recently received email. MCB endeavours to process your unsubscription as soon as possible upon receipt, but it is possible that you may still unintentionally receive mailings whose dispatch crossed with your unsubscription.
