Challenges faced by the industry
Meeting the European Union's emissions regulations is one of the main challenges faced by the automotive industry. The aim is to reduce CO2 emissions and at the same time achieve a collective average of 95 grams per kilometre across all the vehicles offered by a manufacturer. These measures have forced car manufacturers to increase the number of electric vehicles (battery-electric, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, fuel cell, hydrogen) in their ranges. Furthermore, the customers served by this industry want to buy increasingly more advanced cars. These challenges can be summarised as EASCY (Electrified, Autonomous, Shared, Connected, updated Yearly).
MCB Specials
MCB Specials started as a supplier of non-ferrous materials in 1936. We are part of the MCB Group and have expanded our range of products and services over the years to become a total supplier.
MCB Specials offers the market a wide range of very strong and homogeneous materials that can be easily machined to very precise tolerances for today's constantly innovating automotive industry, both nationally and internationally.
Short supply chain
We focus on consistent quality assurance and supply chain optimisation. Because we can deliver pre-worked and customer-specific materials (sawn, cut, slit and coated), we eliminate unnecessary steps in the process. Thanks to our extensive experience in this area, we can offer customers highly flexible supply arrangements.
High cost-efficiency
A short time-to-market is only possible if the parties involved work together closely. That is exactly what we do with our global partners and factories. We always find a solution at MCB Specials, even when confronted by challenging material grades and shapes. An EDI link is a further possibility, leading to major savings in the entire value chain.
Materials
Materials are supplied according to AMS, ASTM, ASME, EN and ISO standards. We deliver high-quality materials of a homogeneous composition in connection with high-precision machining and ultra-cleanliness. We also offer heat treatment of materials, such as annealing according to customer specification and/or customer-specific packaging and traceability.
